Graeme

Graeme Richmond started playing the accordion at the age of 4 under Brian Laurie (Paisley Academy Of Music). He competed in his first competion when he was 7 years old. Since then Graeme has travelled across Britain and some parts of Europe playing the accordion. He has also managed to become one of Britains top players, winning at the United Kingdom Championships including the Graham Romani Championship.

In 1998 Graeme was successful in gaining a place at the Royal Scottish Academy Of Music and Drama where he studied both the accordion under Una Bryson and trombone under Alastair Sinclair. He studied in the Junior Academy every saturday and performed in various ensembles including the National Youth Orchestra of Scotland and West of Scotland Schools Concert Band. Graeme eventually went on to study full time for a year in the Senior Academy.

Graeme now works as an outdoor instructor for Glasgow Climbing Centre, and when he's not working he (looks for more work) enjoys outdoor activities like mountain biking, climbing and canoeing.
